Snow!

Yes, we did actually get some flurries this year!  A couple of Fridays ago there was snow in the forecast, but only the optimistic youngs were expecting it as the weather did not seem very cooperative.  It was cold and overcast, but the cloud cover was very thin.  But it happened...  Around lunch time small flakes started appearing.

The youngs were ecstatic, got out decked out in snow suits, gloves, and hats, and went outside to welcome the unusual guest.

It did flurry long enough to look pretty.  :-)

But unfortunately, nothing ever stuck.  Our poor snow-deprived children had to resort to attempts at snow angels in the grass and catching enough flakes to make a snow ball.

Maybe some other time later this winter!

I already posted about the decorating we did at Grandmother's house.  We did do a little bit at our house, with mostly Reagan and Juli contributing.
