Thanksgiving Day and Petit Jean

Gretchen, Reagan, and Heidi put on a circus for us Thanksgiving evening. They gave quite a performance!

For some reason, GiGi loves to lick Debra's arm. During the circus she settled herself in Debra's lap and went to town.

On Friday, Grandmother and Mama took us all to Petit Jean State Park. Besides planning to do the hike, there was also a re-enactment going on. It wasn't as involved as Mama and Grandmother thought it would be, but we all still enjoyed it.

There were a lot of people selling crafts and other things that they had made. Laurie loved the table with the bead jewelry and hair pieces.

Mama did buy one thing: a wooden sword for Reagan. It took her awhile to decide that she really wanted to, but she finally did.

The "Indian" tepee, whose inhabitants were more Scottish than Native American. :-)

Later in the afternoon we came back to the site of the re-enactment to watch some fellows shoot off guns with black powder. We learned a lot about guns!

One of the sharp-shooters (whose gun worked the first time; a couple of the fellows had to pull the trigger several times before it would shoot).
